YOUTH RACES AND CLINIC DETAILS FOR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2009

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 CLINIC SCHEDULE
(Please note this is the day prior to the B.A.A. Half Marathon.)

LOCATION: Near finish area of B.A.A. Half Marathon (Clemente Field in Boston's Back Bay Fens neighborhood)

11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Clinic featuring top American distance runner Peter Gilmore participating in the B.A.A. Half Marathon*

1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Clinic featuring a course preview, advice for race day, racing tips*

* B.A.A. HALF MARATHON ON-SITE CLINICS (SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10) -- On-site clinics will be conducted near the Half Marathon Bib Number Packet and T-shirt Pick-up area near Clemente Field on Park Drive. Clinics are free and open to all entrants. If you are interested in attending one or both clinics on-site on Saturday, October 10, then please send an email with the words "Saturday, October 10 B.A.A. Half Marathon Clinic RSVP" in the subject line to train@baa.org

B.A.A. YOUTH RACES AT THE HALF
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10
(Please note this is the day prior to the B.A.A. Half Marathon.)

Noon - 12:30 p.m.
B.A.A. Youth Races (see details below)

LOCATION: Near finish area of B.A.A. Half Marathon (Clemente Field in Boston's Back Bay Fens neighborhood)

Youth Races Time Schedule:
Noon to 12:30 p.m.

Youth Races Age groups:
9-years old and under (approximately 100 yards)

10 - 11 years old (approximately 200 yards)

12 - 13 years old (approximately 400 yards)

. Parent or guardian will be asked to sign a consent waiver on site, prior to their child's participation.

. Kids, with a parent or guardian, should arrive by 11:45 a.m.

. All kids will receive a commemorative B.A.A. medal for their participation.

. This is a fun run: age group awards for top performances will not be presented.

If you are interested in having your child participate in the youth races on Saturday, October 10, then please send an email with the words "Youth Races on October 10 at the B.A.A. Half - RSVP" in the subject line to train@baa.org.

You may also wish to include a note whether your child is a boy or a girl along with his or her age(s).
