The Boston Athletic Association has a proud tradition of extending the challenge of road racing to people with disabilities. In keeping with this tradition, we welcome the participation of disabled athletes in our newest event, the B.A.A. Half Marathon.

A push rim wheelchair competition will begin immediately prior to the runners’ start. Visually and other mobility impaired athletes will be included in the runners’ field and scored separately. Slower participants will be directed off the roadways and onto walkways by local police as the course reopens to vehicular traffic.
